I think it is a very overwhelming situation for both the pet owners and employees to have everyone arrive at the same time in the morning for spaying/neutering. Many people had questions and held up everyone in the process. I chilled in a seat until everyone else got through so I had the staffs full attention, no big deal for me to wait. I was concerned when the documentation for my pet was not clear to the staff and they did not know right away what shots he has already had. I’m a new pet owner, so I honestly assumed they would have all the information there, in the computer system, since this is the only vet office he has ever visited. I get it, there are probably limited funds to change anything major, but I think a little QAQC would benefit your establishment greatly. 5 minutes for each pet owner, colony cats arrives at the very end with all their pets, make sure the documentation makes sense before you see the pet and even pre-fill what they have already had if applicable? These are little things I think could make a huge difference. I hope this was helpful and please know I only say all of this because I was in management and understand how difficult things can get behind the scenes. Small changes will make EVERYONES life easier.
